A parent or guardian always creates and owns the account. Children never sign up themselves and never have their own login credentials — they use profiles inside your family space.

After creating your account you're guided through onboarding: confirm you're the parent or guardian, add a child's first name and age range, choose a Journey Buddy and pick the Journeys you'd like to follow.

No. Journae Kids helps families record memories and visual progress. It is not a medical, developmental or educational assessment tool, and it never compares your child against milestones or other children.

Open that child's Family & Privacy Centre from Parent Space and use 'Delete child profile'. You'll be asked to confirm, and it permanently removes that child's journeys, notes and memories along with every stored photo, video and voice note.

In Parent Space, scroll to 'Delete your account'. Type DELETE to confirm and we permanently remove your parent account, every child on it, and all stored photos, videos and voice notes. You can also follow the steps on our public Delete account and data page.

Journae Kids is free while we grow, and you can add the children in your family. There are no in-app purchases today.

Tap Capture from the dashboard or the bottom navigation. Take a photo, choose the camera roll, or drag a photo in on desktop — then pick the child, the Journey, add an optional note and save.

Yes. In the capture screen you can adjust the date, so photos taken earlier still land on the right day in the calendar and timeline.

A moment is a small entry on a Journey: a photo, a note, a first attempt, a milestone. Moments are the record — the plant is just the picture of them.

A Journey is anything a child is working on or enjoying — reading, football, kindness, music, learning to swim. You can pick from our suggestions or create your own.

The calendar shows every captured moment by day, so you can see the shape of a week or a month at a glance and open any day to revisit it.

Then & Now puts two moments from the same Journey side by side, so you can see how far your child has come without any scores or comparisons with other children.

Never. A quiet week is not a failure. The plant only ever grows or waits patiently, so children are never punished for a break.

No. There are no rankings, no comparisons with other children and no public feeds. Growth Points only ever compare a child with their own past.

Kids Space is your child's own gentle view of their journeys: their buddy, their growing plant, their badges and their recap.

Badges celebrate milestones you choose as a parent. You can rename them, pick the emoji and write the celebration message in Badge settings.

Journey Bounce is an optional little bouncing mini game with a daily time limit you control. It is never required and never affects a child's journeys.

No. Journae Kids is private by design. There is no public sharing, no followers and no discovery. Only your family account can see your content.

Parent Space, privacy, consent, family sharing and deletion sit behind a parent-only check — a short PIN you set in Parent Space. You enter it once per session; Kids Space stays open without it.

No advertising, no ad networks and no selling of data — ever.

You can delete an individual child profile or the whole account at any time from Parent Space, or use our public Delete account and data page. Deletion removes the records and the stored media files; backups are overwritten within 30 days. Export everything first if you want a copy.

Use the 'forgot password' link on the Log In screen. We'll email a secure reset link to the parent email on the account.

There are no paid plans yet — Journae Kids is free and takes no payments in the app. If that changes we'll tell you first.

Schools and clubs get class-level setup, safeguarding documentation and teacher accounts. Contact us and we'll walk you through it.
